A Delicate Balance

Part of the problem that all artists face is how the &#%@ to sell our work.

Me, I like being available online, and I also love meeting people in person, so I have endeavored to build a business model that integrates both.

But, being both a virtual and a material shop at the same time presents a whole slew of different problems: tracking inventory, making sure we have enough inventory, picking the right inventory for different show themes…

Then, take all of those problems and add in the actual creative and imaginative process.

For instance, I started this whole messy affair back in 2018 (according to my DBA filing) making jewelry and prosthetic horns. Then, I got the itch to start making nerd supplies. And then came the tarot tiles, and now it’s quilts and bindrunes and whole-ass divination sets and more jewelry and knitted things and and and.

And then, I also started collecting some really amazing people who are also artists who also make amazing things and run into the same “where to sell” problem, so it really just makes sense to pool our resources.

And that, ladies and gentlemen of the jury, is why I quite legally and legitimately have a pile of…

… never mind that.

The point is, we’re now about six weeks away from our post-pandemic soft debut, and we’re looking at what to include, how to display it, and how much to bring, all while also getting this site up and running and functional.

So, you’ll see the Shop button appear and then disappear, the FAQ is going to grow, things are getting moved around.

BUT, I did get LatePoint installed and working, so if you need a little help, if you need a reading, a vent session, coaching, I now how the structure for that. I’m doing all those readings and sessions through Google Meet for the time being (I know, I know), but at least now they’re available.

Seriously, though, we’re bringing so much stuff, it’s going to be amazing. We’ve even got an Astounding Fortune Machine!
