Apparently, this is The Year for things that have been circling and waiting to happen because now everything we’ve been incubating since before the pandemic is coming to fruition.
The tarot project with Plushie Dreadfuls is going swimmingly, and could there be a better artist than Jean to do this work? Absolutely not, he is flawless in every way. My part is designing the rough-out of the cards, then Jean does all the hard lifting in the art department. I’m plugging away at writing a comprehensive guide to go along with it because, hey, I know McGee’s fans, and they deserve every bit of wisdom, guidance, and support they can get.
We know I take the potential psychological benefits of archetypeal exploration very seriously.
But Creativity, she is a fickle beast, and there are weeks when I can’t be dragged away from my workstation because the muses have shackled my wrists to the desk, and there are other times when all I can think about is… well, usually lunch, or some other meal, but that’s probably because I can smell the pot roast cooking in the oven right now.
(… okay, yes, I skipped breakfast again, shut up.)
You’ll notice that there is a new heading in the menu up there on the right. “Events”, eh? Yes, events. As in, the kind where you can see me/us in person. We were planning on the Viking Festival in Oklahoma in October of 2026 to be our big debut, but then this FaeFest thing popped up, and, I mean, how could I say no to that?! It’s just down the road in Austin, it’s just for one day, and you’d get to meet one of my fae alters if you attend.
You remember her, right?

Well, she’ll be making her first official public appearance, and that will include telling fortunes, granting favors, and making clearly wise and beneficial exchanges. Of course you’ll get neat things out of the deal – we’ve got all kinds of knick-knacks and doo-dads and what-nots to choose from – and she promises with most of her heart that she will refrain from any maleficence. (Okay, maybe just a reasonable portion of her heart.)
There should be a link to the Early Bird tickets in the Calendar.
Now, back to getting the tarot tile upgrades finished and double-checking that guide! (They’re not nearly as fancy as the Dreadful ones will be, but I hope they’re still entertaining.)
